I work with adults and teens (14 years and older) who are ready to make meaningful changes in their lives but may be unsure of where to start. For a more detailed look at the communities I serve, please visit the About Me page.I’m passionate about breaking down the stigmas and stereotypes surrounding mental health within Black and Brown communities. I offer compassionate, culturally sensitive care to those navigating the lasting impact of trauma, including experiences rooted in racism and discrimination. My approach welcomes open conversations about race, sexuality, spirituality, and how these parts of our identity shape our everyday lives. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and committed to ongoing education and advocacy to best support all individuals seeking a safe and supportive space.

There are several reasons why I am not in-network with any insurance plans.Insurance companies require a mental health disorder diagnosis, which will stay with your permanent health record. They also require information about your qualifying symptoms and specific work in counseling. Not involving insurance companies is the only way to ensure your utmost confidentiality. You and I will have the ability to decide the type and time-frame of treatment that would be the most effective for you, rather than an employee at the insurance company limiting the number of sessions and the type of therapy you receive. In addition to these important clinical reasons, not filing insurance allows me to keep my self-pay rates as affordable as possible.I can send you a superbill if you would like to file for reimbursement on your own!
